Wedding season is upon us!

By News, Weddings

Well folks now that Christmas and New Year has been and gone it’s time to get back to work. It’s that time of year when everyone is wanting to secure their wedding photographer for their special day. I’ve been so busy over the last few days taking bookings for this year, 2020 and beyond I’ve not had time to update my blog. I’ve even had to turn away some couples which I hate to do, but there always seems to be a couple of dates per year that literally everyone wants. That’s why it’s particularly important to try and lock down your chosen suppliers as soon as you can. I offer a range of packages for all budgets that you can view on my website.

Couples that would like to arrange a consultation can call me on 07963 635568, email me at studio@rcphoto.co.uk or pop into the studio to arrange a consultation. I’m quite laid back and can arrange your consultation around you and your family so can happily meet at the studio out of hours on an evening or on a Sunday. I will also be attending the Spennymoor Town Hall Wedding Fayre on Sunday 17th February from 12pm – 3pm where this beautiful venue will be presented as it would be on a wedding day, it’s well worth a look. You can view more information on this venue here.

2018 has been a great year! Now onto 2019 and beyond!

By News

Well the year is coming to an end! And what a year it’s been. As a photographer I now find myself really busy with family portrait sessions which make an ideal Christmas present for family, who could dislike a family portrait?

I’ve been in my studio at Crook now for over 2 years and this year has seen my most successful year when it comes to wedding photography. I’ve been to some wonderful venues from castles and halls to gardens and waterfalls from Northumberland to the Lake District.

My diary for 2019 and 2020 is well on its way to filling up, so if you are planning your wedding my advice would be to lock down your first choice suppliers as soon as you can, as to avoid disappointment.

One of my favourite places that I visited looking back on this year would be the Lodore Falls Hotel, which is in the Lake District for the wedding of Ben & Laura. In true Lake District style it chucked it down but that didn’t stop us creating some fantastic images that captured the very essence of the Lakes. I’m lucky enough to be returning to the Lakes in May 2019 this time to The Inn on the Lake. I may well be based in Crook, County Durham but I travel all over…. Newcastle, Alnwick, Teesside, Sunderland, Northumberland, Yorkshire and of course the Lakes. If you’d like to arrange a consultation and take a look at my work please email me at studio@rcphoto.co.uk.

The Clicks 2018 at The Baltic Newcastle

It’s not just all about weddings & families!

By News

Hello and welcome to my 2nd blog piece! It’s my aim to try and do a weekly post every Thursday or Friday. Anyway back to the point I was making! Most of you are probably more familiar with my wedding photography or studio portraits of families and small children but they aren’t the only types of photography I offer!

I also offer business and event photography! In fact last week I photographed the Clicks for the 3rd year running which is an awards ceremony organised by North East tech company Communicator for their customers. It was held at the Baltic again with a theme of classic Hollywood movies! This years event was definitely bigger and better than the previous years which were also pretty spectacular.

This year they had the added wow factor of having the North East Singing Waiters http://www.waitersurprise.co.uk attend their event. One of the waiters actually took me to see my first Premier League football match when I was only 13 so it was quite a shock to see him stood behind the bar on my arrival given that we both originate from rural Stanley Crook in County Durham.

The event its self was a mixture of photographing people enjoying themselves and the evenings winners being presented with their awards on the stage. All in all it was another fantastic event.

So if you are looking for someone to photograph your event drop me a line at studio@rcphoto.co.uk I also have an instant printer if you would like to offer your guests a memento of the evening.

Thanks for listening.

My New Website is Here!

By News

Hello and welcome to my very first blog post on my nice new shiny website courtesy of Crook based dxps.com. Finally I have a website that brings together all of the services I offer including studio portraits, wedding storytelling packages, graphic design and of course Out & About Magazine which is about to celebrate it’s 3rd birthday in January 2019.

Ever since I opened my studio in Crook in September 2016 my diary has been inundated with weddings and portraits. My dairy for weddings in 2019 is pretty full with a few weekend dates available throughout the year. It’s looking like 2020 is going to be a very big year for weddings. As a photographer I’m already receiving a huge number of enquiries, and I’ve already had to turn a few couples away. My diary is about a third full already. So you’re if getting married in 2020, the usual “book things a year in advance” appears to be going out of the window. Get your preferred suppliers booked up early to save any disappointment.

Look forward to seeing you soon!
